As mentioned in the Introduction, translation can be performed using the "Translate" API endpoint.

The "Translate" endpoint returns a translated text, together with source (from) and target (to) language pairs. In case no source (from) language is provided, an additional "detected_language" parameter will be returned, containing the language guessed by the Translator.
